Most convection tubes of tubular furnace are placed horizontally: their weight is supported by tube plates at both ends. When the furnace tube is long, the intermediate tube plate shall also be set. Tube sheet and tube frame are furnace internals set to support the weight of furnace tubes (including the medium inside the tubes) and prevent excessive deformation of furnace tubes. In general, the middle supporting members of horizontal radiant furnace tubes are called pipe racks, the two ends are called tube plates, and the supporting members in the middle and both ends of horizontal convection furnace tubes are called tube plates.
