Hydrogen production units are generally designed to produce hydrogen by using the process route of hydrocarbon-steam reforming method to generate gas and PSA method to purify and purify. The reformer is the key equipment of the device, and it adopts a top-fired flue gas descending double-sided radiation box furnace type.
Like the general heating furnace, the reformer also includes a radiation chamber and a convection chamber. The difference is that the radiation chamber of the reformer is essentially a multi-tube parallel-flow external heating reactor, and each furnace tube is a direct flame. Heated conversion reactor.
Therefore, the furnace tube is generally also called a reforming tube, and a catalyst is installed in the tube, and the process medium (hydrocarbon and water vapor) absorbs heat in the tube while undergoing a chemical reaction. Another feature of the reformer is high temperature and high pressure. The inlet temperature of the reformer is 450°C, the outlet temperature of the medium is 850°C, and the maximum temperature of the furnace reaches 1100°C.
The temperature of the tube wall of the hydrogen production reformer is very high, and the material is generally HP-40Nb. Since before, the design institute has started to adopt the full cold wall manifold structure in the tube structure of the reformer.
The reforming tube is suitable for the natural gas steam reformer, which is the main equipment of natural gas steam reforming to syngas.
It converts the natural gas and steam mixture into synthesis gas rich in hydrogen, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide through the reforming tube ( reaction tube).
The reforming tubes are heated by external radiation and contain nickel-containing catalysts.
