The tower is a vertical equipment used for chemical unit operations such as distillation, purification, absorption, rectification, etc. It is widely used for mass transfer and heat transfer between gas-liquid and liquid-liquid phase.
According to the structure of the column internals, the column can be divided into a plate column and a packed column. If the inside of the container only holds materials without chemical reactions and other physical and chemical processes, there is no facility or only a simple auxiliary structure, which is also called a tank.
