SCREW CONVEYOR

Screw conveyor, commonly known as auger, is a widely used conveying equipment in the mining, feed, grain and oil, and construction industries. It is used to convey high-temperature powder or solid particles and other chemical and building materials products.

 

The screw conveyor uses the rotating screw blade to push the material for screw conveyor transportation. The force that the material does not rotate with the screw conveyor blades is the weight of the material itself and the frictional resistance of the screw conveyor casing to the material. The spiral blade welded on the rotating shaft of the screw conveyor, the blade surface type has solid surface type, belt type surface type, blade surface type and other types according to the different conveying materials. The screw shaft of the screw conveyor has a thrust bearing at the end of the material moving direction to give the screw axial reaction force with the material. When the length of the machine is long, an intermediate hanging bearing should be added.

 

Compared with the traditional screw conveyor with shaft, the screw conveyor adopts a shaftless and hanging bearing design, and uses a flexible integral steel screw to push materials.

 

The screw conveyor has the advantages of simple structure, small cross-sectional size, good sealing performance, reliable operation and low manufacturing cost. It is convenient for intermediate loading and unloading. During the conveying process, the materials can also be stirred, mixed, heated and cooled.

Screw conveyor is widely used in solids control system for drilling waste collection and transportation. 

Screw conveyor, also called as screw feeding machine, mainly used for conveying drilling waste and works as support equipment in drilling waste management system. 

It can be classified as horizontal screw conveyor and diagonal hopper screw conveyor, can be matched with other transportation equipment to complete the combined or separate transportation etc.
